
Dr. Alex J. Childs, M.D. joined the C. Paul Perry Pelvic Pain Center in July 2005 and has completed a two-year clinical fellowship in Chronic Pelvic Pain and Advanced Gynecologic Laparoscopy. He is originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and completed his undergraduate work at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Childs is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency training in general Obstetrics and Gynecology at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.
Dr. Childs has published over a dozen articles and has presented numerous lectures in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. He is Board Certified in general Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Childs is a member of the International Pelvic Pain Society and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has been selected as a Who's Who in America. He also is a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain, the American Pain Society, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the American Association of Pain Management, and the American Association of Pro-life Obstetricians/Gynecologists. He and his wife have three children.
