I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am for Dr Childs and the entire experience of the Alabama Center for Urogynecology and Pelvic Pain. After struggling with pelvic pain for years, my GYN recommended surgery to remove potential endometriosis. Because of my desire to have excision surgery, I began researching different options and found Dr Childs. Shannon, with scheduling, was the sweetest and worked overtime to help me find a cancellation and get an appointment within two weeks. What a gift from God! I have now undergone surgery to remove several large fibroids, an ovarian cyst, and endometriosis. When Dr Childs offered to pray with me prior to surgery, I just teared up. It meant so much to me and I felt safe entrusting my care to him and his team. I can’t recommend the Center and Dr. Childs enough!

Dr. Childs gave me my life back after years of not knowing what was wrong with me. After being constantly gaslit by doctors for over 10 years, Dr. Childs restored my trust that there are still good doctors out there. He trusts what I say as accurate, never doubts me or thinks I'm exaggerating. His NP Melissa is also incredible. I know it takes at least 6-8 months to get in to see him, but he is 100% worth the wait. I am so thankful to have found him and that I get to be treated by someone so knowledgeable and genuinely kind.

Dr. Childs and his staff have truly changed my life. He is doing gods work here on earth. From the very moment I met him I knew I was in capable and caring hands. I’ve never had a doctor pray with me before a surgery before and to this day I still get goosebumps thinking about it. This man is the kindest soul and you can just tell and feel how much he cares for his patients. I can now be a present mother with my almost 15 month old, truly a blessing! It stinks because I want to keep his greatness a secret but I know I have to spread the word and help other women. If you want to feel heard and validated, see Dr. Childs. ❤️
